Francisco Javier Manzanares Allen is a distinguished leader in climate finance, carbon markets, and sustainable development, with over 25 years of experience in executive and advisory roles across global institutions. As the current CEO and Founder of ALLEN MANZA INC, he specializes in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks, climate investment strategies, and the decarbonization of key economic sectors.

Javier has held pivotal positions, including Senior Consultant for the World Bank, where he supports the development of regulated and voluntary carbon markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. His work focuses on governance structures, climate finance mobilization, and policy alignment with international agreements like the Paris Agreement. Previously, he served as Director and Executive Board Member of the Green Climate Fund (GCF), managing a $12 billion portfolio across 120 countries, with a balanced focus on adaptation and mitigation projects.

Javier holds a PhD in Sustainability Management, a dual MBA from Kellogg Graduate School and HKUST, and certifications in ESG governance and strategic leadership. Fluent in Spanish, English, and French, he is a frequent speaker at international forums and has taught at universities worldwide, including SNU (Seoul) and IE Business School (Spain).

Diana Paredes is the Project and Operations Coordinator at ALLEN MANZA INC., where she leads key administrative management processes and technical coordination of initiatives related to sustainability and climate change. She holds a degree in Biotechnology Engineering, along with a strong academic background that includes an Executive MBA in Environmental Management and a Master’s in Sustainable Agriculture and Agribusiness. Her education is complemented by specialized training in project development, fundraising, climate change, and climate finance.

Throughout her career, Diana has held strategic roles in technical consultancies and international projects focused on sustainability, natural resource management, climate-resilient agriculture, and inclusive public policy. As a regional consultant for the FAO, she contributed to the development of methodologies for cost-benefit analysis of sustainable agricultural practices and supported the design of environmental conservation policies with a focus on gender and community participation.

She is currently leading the participatory process for the development of Ecuador’s National Action Plan for Land Degradation Neutrality and Soil Conservation (PNA NDT&CRS), working closely with Indigenous communities, public and private sector stakeholders, and international organizations.

Since 2024, she has coordinated the Biocarbon Standard contract at ALLEN MANZA INC., overseeing operational administration, strategic partnerships, and the review of methodologies applied to carbon markets. Diana also plays an active role in coordination with the Executive Secretariat of RedLAC and FFLA, the Technical Secretariat of the Latin American Water Funds Partnership. She has contributed to the development of national carbon market regulations in El Salvador, leading the design of a voluntary greenhouse gas management program. Additionally, she led a regional mapping of private sector actors financing climate initiatives across Latin America and the Caribbean.

María Cristina Osorio Sánchez is a passionate Climate Change and Cooperation Development Manager with a multidisciplinary background in biotechnology, environmental conservation, and sustainable tourism. With over six years of experience in environmental projects—including leadership roles in Ecuador’s Ministry of Environment and Water—she excels at bridging science, policy, and community engagement to drive climate action and social equity.

Currently based in Portugal, María Cristina combines her technical expertise in Amazon rainforest conservation with her role as a Quality Auditing Associate at Accenture, where she mentors multicultural teams and ensures high standards in environmental and social governance. Her earlier work as Team Lead for Yasuní National Park involved managing sustainability projects, indigenous community partnerships, and economic investment funds, demonstrating her ability to align ecological goals with local development needs.

A skilled communicator and leader, she holds a Master’s in Tourism and Environment and is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. María Cristina thrives in collaborative environments, leveraging her emotional intelligence, strategic vision, and fieldwork experience to design inclusive climate solutions.
